ASIA'S MODERN HERO AWARD

I am truly humbled and grateful to be recognized as Modern Hero in Philippine Swimming Industry by the Asia's Modern Hero Awards 2024.

Being acknowledged along side with remarkable individuals from all over Asia who have carved greater impact for humanity and the world, I am very honored.

This assembly is an avenue for further learning and fellowship.

I wish to convey my appreciation and thanks to Dr. Ronnel Ybañez of the Asia's Modern Hero Awards 2024 and to the members of the Executive Council who have found me worthy of the recognition and took notice of the SLP, its works and advocacies.

I share this award with the men, women and children of the Swim League Philippines, this is a collective effort from us all.

I dedicate this award to a wonderful woman who has influenced me the most, My Mother, Estelita Frago Ancheta. I Love you Mum.

To the Board of Trustees of SLP, Philbert Papa Executive Director, Joan Cacho-Mojdeh Honorary Chairman, Joey Andaya National Director, Rolando Sarmiento Dela Cruz, Biboy Asturias, Zaldy Lara, Hans Rafael Villareal Sumalde, Paul Pablo, our Regional Directors, Provincial and City Administrators this is the fruit of our shared dream, the hardwork and perseverance even in the midst of oppression and constant downplay from a few, we remained firm and became stronger, bigger and bolder.

I truly believe that every Swimmer, Coach and Parent is too a Modern Hero and I have high regard for all of you. As country and a world United by Water, so should we be United by aspiration and goal. The Swim League Philippines shall continue its advocacy in pursuit of greater cause and purpose.

This is in service of the Filipino, for the future of the Filipino child, for the greater glory of the Almighty. Together we must strive for excellence and foster positive change towards nation building.
