DAGDAG ALLOWANCE PARA SA ATHLETES AND COACHES APRÙBADO NA!

TULAD ng naipangako ni Philippine Sports Commission chairman Patrick “Pato” Gregorio, lahat ng national athletes at coaches ay tatanggap na ng P5,000 umento sa kanilàng buwanang suweldo.

Inaprubahan na ng PSC board ang across-the-board na dagdag- suweldo ng mga atleta at coaches, na nagkakahalaga ng nasa P10 million kada buwan na inanunsiyo na ni Gregorio noong Hulyo 8.

Si Gregorio, na appointed ni Pangulong Marcos kung saan ang 13th PSC chairman, ay inilahad ito noongv nakaraang sports assembly kamakailan sa Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Sinabi pa ni Gregorio na panahon na para tumanggap ng ķaukulang umento ang mga atleta at coaches ng bansa.

“Why? Because we realized that so many athletes still get P10,000 per month,” wika ni Gregorio. “Mas mababa pa ‘yun sa (lower than) minimum wage,”aniya.

Samantala,binigyan ng kagalakan ng PSC ang mga athletes and coaches na nakabase sa Rizal Memorial Sports Complex noong Miyerkules sa pamamagitan ng pamimigay ng packed meals sa kalagitnaan ng masamang panahon.

“We distributed food for the athletes who can’t leave the complex due to flooding,” ani Gregorio.

“As long as they share their stories, the PSC is here to listen,” aniya. Nag-isyu naman si Atty. Guillermo Iroy, ang OIC executive director ng naturang government sports agency, ng advisory sa lahat ng NSA, at nagsasaad na ang naturang umento ay epektibo sa susunod na buwan ng Agosto.

“In place of these documents, the NSAs are now required to submit the newly adopted monthly training attendance certification,”ani pa Iroy.

“This certification must be duly signed by the NSA president or secretary-general and notarized, and shall serve as the official basis for qualified members of the national training pool to receive their allowance for the particular month,” dagdag niya.
