A lively celebration of the town's history, culture, environment, and identity, the Hane Festival is more than just a festival. Tanay is revitalized annually with vibrant dances, art appreciation, and a gathering of locals from the stunning highlands. The town will again take pride in its prosperity in agriculture, art, and a sustainable economy on its 419th founding anniversary and the 15th Hane Festival. Sir Jeff Pino defined Hane as "Home of Adventure and Nature Experience."
The Hane Festival has significantly improved the region's tourism scene. The various cultures and other attractions in Tanay are depicted here, along with the events of the next festival. It's not the only thing they rejoice about during their celebration; other events add to the enthusiasm. Being able to draw attention from others through the preservation and admiration of traditions, a phenomenon they call Sikaran, is one of the festival's highlights.

To know more further, Sikaran
It is a sport or tournament where participants use both hands and feet to parry the opponent's attack, which is usually a strategic kick. The word Sikaran comes from the Filipino root word kick(sikad), thus kicking is an active verb that translates to Sikaran. This tradition is a reminder of cultural identity. It is held on the 16th, where players and local tourists come together to witness one of the most essential parts of the festival.
"It's not just a game," said Ms. Angleen Navarra, Tanay's tourist operations assistant. "Sikaran is identity, an art, discipline, and symbol of the bravery of the Tanayeños."
The traditional sports sikaran in town is very much alive and kicking through the dedicated leadership of Master Crisanto Cuevas (secgen of Global Sikaran Federation based in USA founded by GSF Grandmaster Hari Osias Catolos Banaag) of Raven Sikaran Tanay who established an academy and training school of Sikaran for young and potential talents in Tanay.
Along with Sikaran, the Hane Festival includes a fun run, replanting, a people's parade, and an agri-trade. Nevertheless, it is indisputable that Sikaran unites people to commemorate tradition, regardless of the float decorations, mouthwatering cuisine, or musical performances.
Amid modernization and progress, the resurgence of a classic game like Sikaran reminds us that we must remember where creativity has come from.
HANE na, Tanay! It is time to celebrate the strength of the people once again, the beauty of culture, and the vitality of hope.
