A highly acclaimed Filipino singer,Imelda Papin is an actress, and public servant par excellence widely known as the “Jukebox Queen of the Philippines.” Rising to prominence in the late 70s, she became one of the most influential icons of Original Pilipino Music (OPM), celebrated for emotional ballads such as “Bakit (Kung Liligaya Ka sa Piling ng Iba)” and “Isang Linggong Pag-ibig.”

Her powerful vocals and heartfelt performances made her one of the most beloved music artist of her era.

Beyond entertainment, Queen Imelda Papin expanded her service to the Filipino people through public leadership, serving as Vice Governor of Camarines Sur (1998–2004) and continuing to engage in governance and humanitarian initiatives. She also represented Filipino culture internationally, performing abroad and hosting television and radio programs for the Filipino community.

Today, she remains recognized as a cultural icon whose contributions to music, public service, and community leadership have left a lasting legacy in Philippine society.
