KEIJI KATAYAMA ,A JAPANESE NATIONAL WITH PINOY HEART IN BASEBALL

A hard hitting Japanese batter with a soft touch in his heart to Filipinos when he swing his bat to Philippine baseball.

Keiji Katayama loves to share his expertise to those who are eager to learn more about the sport , Pinoy baseball entusiasts particularly to the member of national team whom he always at bat together during peactice and games at the Rizal Memorial

Baseball Stadium in Manila and other diamonds. Katayama ,who hails from Himeji City in Japan is very much active and competitive.

His coaching and management style can help and contribute in his humble way to the Philippines, his second home to uplift the natural talent of Filipinos to excel in the international stage.

He cited Japan as world powerhouse in baseball because of its long range and comprehensive program, discipline,determination and teamwork from stakeholders,corporate- commercial and government.

These are the major factors to achieve excellence in baseball Keiji , whose sure stint in pro league in Japan was spoiled by a greener executive job in the Philippines as he always fine time playing and coaching in his fiest love- the sport of baseball.

He also established a grassroot program , Keiji Baseball Academy( KBA) in Manila.

Meanwhile, Katayama extends his congratulatory message to the Philippine Baseball team for retaining the Southeast Asian Games title outsmarting host Thailand in Bangkok.

"Hats off to the SEAG supreme Philippine baseball team.They deserve it. Next is Asiad in Japan hoping to improve their placing against Asian powerhouse who are world caliber. Mission possible with big,big heart", the former coaching staff member of the champion Philippine baseball squad during 2019 SEAGames in Clark Field,Pampanga.
