Ayon sa Saligang Batas: Article XIV Section 19 :

The State shall promote physical education and encourage sports programs, league competitions , and amateur sports. Including training for international competitions, to foster self discipline, teamwork. and excellence for the development of a healthy and alert citizenry. All educational institutions shall undertake regular sports activities throughout the country in cooperation with athletics clubs and other sectors.

Kaya naman maraming batas at mga panukala sa Kongreso ang nagsusulong sa State Policy na ito.

Ilan sa mga ito ay: RA No. 6847 ceeating the Philippine Sports Commission. RA 10699 Expanding the coverage of incentives granted to national athletes and coaches RA 7549 Exempting all prizes and awards gained from local and international sports tournaments and competitions RA no. 11214

Establishing a Sports Complex known as the Philippine Sports Training Center.

Maraming mambabatas na may tunay na malasakit sa sports. Saludo tayo sa kanila. At sana ay ma pondohan ng ating pamahalaan para sa kanilang katuparan.
