Mecca of ESports:Pinoy version ng MOBA Games, hahataw na

ANG noo’y pangarap ng maraming Filipino game developer ay isa na ngayong realidad dahil ang larong Pinoy na ‘Vi the Game’ ay nasa final review ana ngayon sa ilalim ng pangangasiwa ng Department of Science and Technology (DOST).

Dive into its unique 'Corrupted Abyss' mode and experience the thrill of surviving relentless monster waves while safeguarding your ancient structure,” pahayag ni Gridlock-Games president and Chief Executive Officer Odale Patrick sa isinagawang media launching kamakailan sa New World Hotel in Pasay City.

Sinabi ni Gridlock-Games Vice President Rob Saluna na madaling mapantayan ng ‘Vi the Game’ ang excitement at thrill ng internationally known MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) tulad ng Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Paladins at League of Legends.

“We’re very proud and thankful, especially sa DOST for the help and support and the partnership with Esports World Federation. Kaya natin at papatunayan natin ang malikhaing talento ng Pinoy,” pahayag ni Saluna.

Ang 'Vi the Game' ay magiging available sa merkado sa susunod na taon ng Pebrero.

Kasama nila sa media launching sina DOST Esports Development head Engr. Romelen Tresvalles, ESWF President at Founder Arniel Gutierrez, Cybercraft Philippines President Ranulf Goss, DOST Supervising Science Research Specialist Warren Gomez.

Sinabi ni Tresvalles na ang tagumpay sa pagbuo ng laro ay ang resulta ng mga taon ng pag-aaral, pagsasaliksik at pakikipagtulungan ng DOST sa mga unibersidad at iba pang institusyon gayundin ang ESWF, ang international esports federation na nabuo at nakabase sa Pilipinas, sa pamumuno ni Arniel Gutierrez.

Sa paglulunsad ng memorandum of agreement (MOA) ay nilagdaan ng DOST, EWSF at Gridlock-Games. Saksi sa paglagda ang mga kinatawan ng iba't ibang esports group na pinamumunuan ng Miniski at internet provider na Convergys.

“Ito na ang simula ng pag-angat ng Esports sa bans ana kapwa Pinoy natin ang developers at engineer’s ng mga laro. May sarili na tayong MOBA na maipagmamalaki sa international community. Malaking tulong syenore ang DOST,” ani Gutierrez na nagsabing ang ‘Vi the Game’ ay malapit nang gamitin ng mahigit 100 Esports Association sa ilalim ng ESWF sa buong mundo.

"Ang Pilipinas ay malapit nang maging Mecca sa Esports," sabi ni Gutierrez.
