New Dagupan Sealions to defend it's crown... CALINTAAN MAYOR LABRADOR CUP BASKETBALL C'SHIP IN OCC. MINDORO

POWERHOUSE Barangay New Dagupan Sealions will defend it's title in the prestigious basketball tournament in Calintaan town, Province of Occidental Mindoro that will gets underway tomorrow (April 5)at the Calintaan Sports venue.

Municipal Mayor Mayor Eric Labrador will grace the cage tournament dubbed as Calintaan Mayor Labrador's Cup Basketball Championship- the bustling premiere sports league in Occidental Mindoro.

According to Sealions top brass Jemuel Laron, the champion team New Dagupan Sealions will continue it's winning tradition as they prepared comprehensively going to Calintaan cage war armed with full- battle gear.

"We know that other teams are determined to snatch the coveted crown from us but Sealions Banay, Garcia,Cañete,Mahinay ,Prado,Calera,Escobar, Quiñones( James Reid),Rapisura and Calera D.are all- out to retain the title for Sealions that will also reinforced by strong import in the league for basketball- loving Mindoreños in full support of Mayor Labrador",said Laron whose Sealions squad in Sinag Liga Asia is also a team to beat.

Barangay New Dagupan Sealions head coach is Fernando Ducos with Kapitan Jerwin Briones.The team is managed by SK Gerald Isla while Harold Bautista is the team's consultant.

The defending New Dagupan Sealions team will troop to Calintaan sports venue in full force along with Barangay officials,followers and fans.

The 7- team cage war will parade their banners and muses in a colorful opening ceremony before the games hostilities unfolds where Barangay Iriran and Poblacion are also considered teams to beat.
