PSC ROTC Games National Finals. ..EVEN MORE GOLD IN ARMY ARNISADOR

The Philippine Army claimed seven gold medals in the arnis competition, while the Philippine Navy won four in the athletics event of the 2023 ROTC Games National Championships.

Maria LG Mae Ballester of Rizal Technological University led the army cadet-athletes by dominating the women's non traditional single weapon and the full contact padded stick events at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium yesterday.

Kyla Omega Della Torre (women's lightweight full contact paddle) of Capiz State University, Joana Dela Cruz (women's welterweight) of RTU, Lolito Bacor, Jr. also won their respective events. (men's featherweight) of RTU, Villamel Tiongson (lightweight) of Don Honorio Ventura State University, and Febie Tacda (welterweight) of RTU.

Only Mikee Tungcul of the University of Cagayan Valley-Navy bagged gold with her win in the women's non traditional single weapon.

In athletics at the Philsports Track Oval in Pasig City, Adamson University's Kent Francis Jardin led the Navy's rampage with his three golds.

After dominating the men's 200-meter run and joining Denmark Dalunes, Ralph Anthony Lego and Alexander Padilla in victory in the 4x100m relay, the UAAP Season 85 athletics MVP ignited John Yuri Jumaday, John Mark and John Eril Martir in winning the 4x400m relay in pace of 3:32.21.

Adamson also won the women's 4x400m relay with Christine Guerio, Hope Charity Labunayan, Samantha Nicole and Lea Mae Pareva recording a time of 4:53.12.

Arturo Ocana of Rizal Technological University and Jeslymay Licup of the University of Baguio claimed the gold medal in the men's (11.21 seconds) and women's (13.01 seconds) 100m dash, respectively.

In boxing at the Dacudao court, Army boxers will compete for the gold medal.

Tina Panis will face Lyne Edezza Laja in the women's bantamweight; Kristine Grace Marquez will face Rinoa Segunda at featherweight; Joeler Efondo and Vince Argie Lomboy will square off in the men's flyweight; Alfred Deslate and Mark Paul Fernandez will square off at bantamweight; and Florence Sumpay will fight Rodrigo Lumogda at featherweight.
