Sir Mon of Cabuyao City...PADIZ' POINT AS PUBLIC SERVANT

EDUCATOR, businessman, sportsman and public servant par excellence.

Mr. Solomon Bernardo Padiz is a former Sports Director of De La Salle University from Academic Year 2005 to 2017. Author of the Physical Education Curriculum for Tertiary Level in DLSU Canlubang.

Sports Consultant in both National (Department of Education) and International Sports Federation for the South East Asian Games and ASIAN Games. Contributing Author of the MAPEH Textbook from Grades 1-10 and Contributing Author/Editor of the Rules of Sepaktakraw Event that we are now using in SEAGames and Asian Games.

As world lecturer for the Sepaktakraw events, being one of the sports individual who helped in the propagation, installation and execution of the very First World Beach Games in Oman Muscat.

He's a former national athlete and now a world lecturer for Sepaktakraw event and at the same time Vice President of Arnis Philippines & Secretary General for the Philippine Chinlone Association.

His Father is “Dr. Servillano Aquino Padiz Jr.” who’ve been recognized as the Father of Sepaktakraw in the Philippines as he was the one who brought the said event in our country and have been the Charter President under Gintong Alay which is now Philippine Sports Commission who then became the Chairman of the International Sepaktakraw Federation for ASEAN Countries.

His successor in sport is “Solomon Caralipio Padiz Jr.” who is also a national team in Badminton sport who is currently carrying Rank Number-1 Level in our country and recently bagged the Gold Medal in Malaysia Petronas International Badminton Tournament last September 23, 2024.

"Our family blood is in to teaching and our heart is in to Sports. That is why my desired advocacy is to share my humble knowledge in our City, to give and set our own Identity. Its like when you feel going to beach, you will go to Boracay. When you are craving to buy electronic devices, you will go to Raon. If you wish to relax and enjoy the cold climate weather, you will go to Baguio or Tagaytay. And finally, if you desire to learn more into sports and experience an organized sports program and have a good match with elite athletes then you MUST go to Cabuyao, the Land of Sports Enthusiasts and Sports Entrepreneur. The senior Padiz said who also aspires as a public servant in his beloved City of Cabuyao in Laguna Province.

"We can achieve that GOAL but, we need the right person to run the right program and I would humbly say with my lengthy experience and expertise, I am fit for that JOB to help and enhance our community in different levels and sectors; grassroots youth, Women on Sports, Senior Citizen on Recreational Program and PWD for their Special Event."Padiz pointed out.

His other affiliations and position in Laguna are as follow: Rotary Club Uptown Santa Rosa -President & Knights Eagles Club FOE President, National Universities and Colleges Athletic Association (NUCAA) President, International Sepaktakraw Federation Chairman Referee Committee-Lecturer, Asian Chinlone Federation-Secretary General, PNPA Tagapagbuklod Class ‘89 Honorary Member.
