Sunday stunner sa UAAP baseball elims... NU BULLDOGS BINOKYA ANG UST TIGERS,10-0

BINOKYA ng National University ang University of Santo Tomas,10-0 upang tumatag ito sa solo liderato sa papatapos na double elimination round ng University Athletic Associaion of the Philippines kamakalawa ng gabi sa UP Baseball Field sa Diliman,Quezon City.

Agad na umiskor ng 3 runs ang Bulldogs sa tuktok ng unang inning sa RBI single ni Kevin Maulit at nasundan ng dalawa pa sa sumunod na frame.

Inangkla ng Tigers ang NU batters sa third inning pero muling nagpaulan ng 5 runs ang Sampaloc- based batters sa sumunod na frame habang di pinapaporma ni ace pitcher Amiel de Guzman ang UST sluggers sa kanilang opensa. Muling tumikada ang Bulldogs sa top of 5tn bunga ng triple sa right center ni Nigel Paule na pinagningning ng isa pang run sa top 8th tungo sa shutout win via mercy rule ng tropang Zamora.

Nangunguna sa team standing ang NU ,6-3 dahil sa win over the other rule .Tinalo nila ang De LaSalle (6-3)kamakailan, dausdos naman sa 5-4 ang Ateneo.

First 2 innings, naka score po agad kami ng 3. But UST hold us off on the 3rd inning. And on the 4th inning, nakabuhos kami ng 5 runs. We added another rug on on the 5th inning c/o Nigel Paule's triple to the right center. We made sure that our defense is solid and the fielders support the exceptional pitching of Amiel De Guzman. We tried to push for another run on the 6th and 7th para makapag regulation game, pero UST held their ground. But we successfully did it on the 8th inning to end it without going into the 9th.
